Hello, today! I’m going to show you how to edit traced images if you are not familiar with the image trace function, I would recommend that you watch my previous tutorial. I’ve included a link to it at the end of this video and in the description below, let’s open a new document and place a raster image into it next, go to window and select image trace. Now open the preset pulldown menu for this image. I’m going to use the low fidelity photo option before we start editing Our image. Make sure that all the settings in the image trace panel or exactly what you want. Now you can use any of the tools to edit your path. I’m going to remove all these anchor points and make the line smoother to do this. Select the lasso tool and draw a closed path around the anchor points of it. You don’t in India now go to object path and choose remove anchor points, then switch to the direct selection tool and add just the curves when you are done either, right, click with your mouse and select V exit isolation mode or click twice on this arrow. Another option is to use the recolor artwork function first, select everything and then click on the recolor artwork icon from the top toolbar. Here you have many options on the left. There is a number of current colors in your image and on the right there is a column that will show new colors being applied. Let’s scroll down and choose a vase color to find it in the artwork. Click on this magnifying glass icon to exit this mode. Click on the same icon again. Let’s select another color, find it in the artwork and adjust it using rest sliders. You will notice the new color we’ve applied in the new color column to undo all changes, select the eyedropper icon from the top. You also have an option to choose ready Presets from the Swatch Library. Let’s select the skin tones. My second example is a photo of a simple stamped reindeer. Anchor Point tool and remove unwanted anchor points or you can use the lasso tool select many anchor points at once, then go to object path and choose remove anchor points. Let’s turn on the visibility of the bottom layer to use it as a guide while adjusting the paths now you can use the direct selection tool and it just be handles or you can use the curvature tool instead. Let’s zoom in first. We’ll break a path of a yellow and blue shapes and then connect them together. I’m going to show you a few ways to do it. Select the yellow shape and switch to the Caesarstone. Click somewhere here to make one cut and over here to make another cut now. Delete both paths another way, which is much faster is to select the anchor point and then press the. Delete key on your keyboard. This will automatically create an open path. Now let’s do the same with the other shape next. We’ll connect these two shapes together, first, select V tap anchor point of a blue shape and while holding down the shift key select V top anchor point of the yellow shape. Now go to objective and select and join or press the Ctrl + J Keys on your keyboard, and we need to connect the bottom two anchor points this time. We’ll use the join tool.
